Thomas Warren was taught violin making by Ian Sweetman and soon established himself as a highly professional and accomplished luthier. This lovely example is modelled after Guarneri del Gesu, and boasts a one-piece maple back with a soft, narrow, almost seductive flame. The tone is round, with good depth and clarity and an appealing colour and brightness. While the violin can take plenty of pressure, it responds best to a lighter touch.
