Thomas Warren violin No. 27 New Zealand 1983

Thomas Warren was trained in violin making by Ian Sweetman before becoming one of new Zealand’s most prominent and productive violin makers, establishing a reputation for technical excellence, beautiful tonal quality and great playability. This fine example was made at the height of his career, with a lovely, golden-brown varnish that enhances the handsomely flamed back. A broad, rich lower register is coupled with a warm but focused core and a very even response across all four strings. This violin would be a great choice for advanced students, serious amateur musicians or young professional players.
