Heliomar Cirilo violin bow, Brazil

Heliomar Cirilo is a master Brazilian bow maker working for L’archet Brasil, a company founded in 1997 which represents may of Brazil’s top bow makers. This finely carved bow has an exquisite inlay in the frog, with a clear lens on both sides surrounded by rings of silver and pearl. The round pernambuco stick suits a more delicate controlled attack delivering a detailed but warm spiccato and sautele. Overall, the bow is very well-balanced and produces a warm, creamy tone.
