Unlabelled German Violin
SKU: S670
The Vogtland area of northeast Germany was, and still is, home to a number of important and prolific violin-making workshops. This attractive example, with its well-flamed maple back and amber-coloured varnish, was probably made in the early twentieth century. The tone is expansive, while retaining a clear, sweet core, with an even consistency in all registers. The response is resonant, with a bell-like quality that is very pleasant under the ear. The violin will make a great choice for lower-to-middle grade students moving onto their first serious instrument.
