S742 Unlabelled European cello

Modelled after Antonio Stradavari, this late nineteenth cello was probably made in northeastern Germany but in the French Mirecourt style.  A full length back and string length give the tone depth, richness and resonance while slightly narrower bout widths make this instrument more playable than many of the cellos we see.  The upper registers are clear and ringing, without any harshness, and its openness and ready response make this cello a good choice for an advancing player.
