*Egidius Dörfler *** Violin bow, Germany

SKU: S777

For four generations since 1940 the Dörfler family of bow makers has been committed to producing a wide range of quality bows, from very affordable Brazilwood student bows through to their master bow range, using their best selected pernambuco wood. This great example of the latter is named after Egidius Dörfler, the founder of the company, with extra stars denoting a particularly fine model. The bow is very well-balanced, feeling light in the hand despite a weight of over 63 grams. The stiff stick produces a robust tone and is especially good at power chord playing, but can also provide a creamy sound and excellent articulation sinking easily into the string when needed.
