“Amadeus” Master grade “Heifetz” del Gesu Chinese violin, 2019

The “Amadeus” range of violins are handmade in China for the Sydney-based Violin Centre.  Their Master grade “Heifetz” Guarneri del Geso model is their top instrument in this series and gives the player plenty of depth vin the lower registers, and resonance and bite on the upper strings.  The European maple back is handsomely flamed, the vivid figure enhanced by a hand-brushed, red-gold varnish that has been tastefully antiqued.  This will make a very good choice for an advancing student looking to develop a versatile and soloistic sound.
