Swiss-born violin maker. Adrian Studer trained at The Violin Making School in Brienz before immigrating to New Zealand in the early 1980s, where he soon made a name for his well-crafted and fine-sounding instruments. This example, at 16 3/8” (416mm) is the largest viola we are currently offering, and provides all the advantages of this size, with a deep, resonant C and G string, coupled with a lovely, bell-like quality in the upper registers.
