Hubert Chanon cello bow, Canada

SKU: S719

Hubert Chanon was born in Mâcon, France and received his first training as a luthier under renowned violin maker Jean-Frédéric Schmitt in Lyon, before learning bow making in the workshop of acclaimed US archetier William Salchow.  Chanon established his own workshop in Canada in 1978, and has sold over 250 bows worldwide.  This handsome, silver-mounted cello bow, with its attractive abalone inlays and highly-selected pernambuco stick, has been much loved by a professional player, who says it is agile, versatile, and draws a lovely sound.
