German unlabelled 3/4 violin

SKU: 556

This early twentieth century, German, three-quarter violin is elegantly-made, with crisply cut Stradivarian edges in the French style. The golden-orange varnish is a livelier colour than the standard Mirecourt red-brown finish, giving the wood a satiny glow. The maple back has a vivid narrow flame and the spruce belly is of well-selected wood. The tone is resonant and focused, with a silvery quality across all four strings.
